Margie Fleming Glennon

Margie oversees the Nonprofit Intelligence team, which produces the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s online forums and professional-development webinars; editorial reports that help leaders work smarter; and service journalism on philanthropy.com, including the podcast, Nonprofits Now: Leading Today.

Before joining The Chronicle in 2010, Margie worked in nonprofit communications for many years. She was communications director at the nonprofit Share Our Strength and at the International Center for Journalists, where she oversaw the launch of the International Journalists’ Network, a website dedicated to sharing media news, training opportunities, and expert advice with journalists worldwide.

Previously, she also handled public affairs for the National Capital Planning Commission, the federal planning agency for Washington, D.C., and directed publications for the Annenberg Washington Program, a communications policy think tank. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University as well as a certificate in editing and publications. Margie is a 2025 fellow in the Media Transformation Challenge program.
