Lawsuits, internal turmoil, lost federal grants, and legislative reversals are adding up to a “generational loss” for environmental groups. As the Trump administration has overthrown most of President Joe Biden’s pro-environment legislation and reversed decades-old regulations, green groups are cutting staff and looking for other ways to have an impact, with some shifting their focus to states and other countries. Donors have been slow to fill the gap left by rescinded federal grants and some, too, are looking for different ways to further the cause of clean energy. (New York Times)
