Nonprofit News From Elsewhere Online
The Trump administration plans to claw back an additional $7 billion in climate change funding already committed to state governments and nonprofits. The Environmental Protection Agency is drafting termination letters to grantees under the Biden administration’s “Solar for All” program that was meant to help low- and middle-income people install solar panels on their homes. The attempt to take back the funding follows a March attempt to take back $20 billion in climate funding promised under Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which has resulted in a drawn-out legal battle. An EPA spokesman said that no final decision had been made on the solar grants. (New York Times)
