Sara Herschander is a senior reporter for the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Before coming to the Chronicle, she worked in podcasting at Futuro Media and as a freelance journalist covering social movements, labor, and housing. Sara previously worked in education, refugee services, and homeless services.
She is a graduate of Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies and received her M.A. in bilingual journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
