During The Chronicle’s Philanthropy NEXT conference, reporter Megan O’Neil spoke with Adrienne Brooks, director of advancement for the National Museum of African American History and Culture, to discuss the museum’s $275 million campaign and the strategy behind its membership program, which generated a significant amount of interest in the institution as well as donations for its construction.
